Juneteenth

Juneteenth commemorates the abolition of slavery in the United States. Based on the historical document issued by General Orders No. 3 by Major General Gordon Granger, commanding general of the United States Army of the Occupation in Texas, on June 19, 1865, that freed all slaves in Texas.
